About The Event

Looking to preserve your fresh produce for the winter months? Want to learn how to carry the local season all throughout the year?

Join us for Preserving the Harvest sponsored by Slow Food Columbus and hosted by Glass Rooster Cannery on Tuesday, August 21 from 7-9 PM. Class participants will use fresh garden produce to make pickles for a crunchy treat this winter while learning the safety and science behind homemade canned goods. (And let's be honest, more specifically how to avoid a soggy flat pickle!)

Each participant will take home a jar of canned goods and recipes for Preserving the Harvest.

$10 from each ticket sold will be donated to Slow Food Columbus.
